The Kenya Society for the Blind (KSB) in partnership with department of education, Kenya, working in nearly 20 counties and almost supporting for more than 2500 students, who are suffering with visual impairment. Simultaneously, it works with Kenya Ophthalmic Programme (KOP), under ministry of health by arranging programmes to prevent and cure, eye related deficiencies leading to blindness through the integration of Primary Eye Care into the existing Primary Health Care system in Kenya. It also working on increasing experts in ophthalmology and supplying of drugs for the diseases, such as Trachoma is a regular practice. Establishment of eye care centres for proper eye testing is its major priority.
